This weekend we play in the HOLA Tournament on Thursday night and Saturday at Lamar HS. The schedule is here. All athletes in the program that are playing water polo will be going to those games.
On Friday night the attached roster will be going to Baytown to participate in a JV Round Robin tournament. The schedule for that night is here.
Earlier this week we sent you the bracket for the Battlefield tournament. What we didn't do is tell you how to read the thing. Forgive me if this is simple, but we had several questions about when and where each of the teams would be playing.
This tournament is being played at two different pools so there are two brackets. Each game is numbered. Thursday and Friday were the first round of games and determined where each team would play Saturday. Knowing the result of the game enables you to know what time and place the next game will be. The consolation bracket is being played at Clear Brook and the winners bracket is being played at Clear Springs. Since all 3 of our teams have lost a game, they will be playing at Clear Brook on Saturday. As an example, the JV lost game Clear Springs 6 so they play at Clear Brook at 12:50 in game Clear Brook 35. If they win, they play again at 4:10 in game Clear Brook 37. If they lose they are done.
We're trying to keep everyone informed via Twitter and Facebook of the results. Hopefully you can use the results and figure out things more quickly using the bracket.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT SATURDAY GAMES REQUIRE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION, AND ATHLETES NEED TO ARRIVE 1 HOUR BEFORE THEIR GAME!
